Many fires in hotels and restaurants start in the restaurant kitchen. Often it is grease and cooking oil from stoves, frying tables, frying pans and deep fryers that ignite. Filter housings and exhaust air ducts are also a big risk, where a fire can spread. The extinguishing system consists of a container with extinguishing liquid, a pipe system with nozzles and a cable system for fusible links.
The extinguishing system has a manual and automatic release mechanism. The system is completely mechanical, but shut-off for electricity and gas can be controlled from the system.
The extinguishing liquid has a cooling effect on hot surfaces, grease and oils. This lowers the temperature and prevents self-ignition.
The extinguishing liquid reacts against grease and oils and thus forms a cover that prevents oxygen from reaching the fire and reduces the risk of re-ignition.
Nozzles are placed in connection with the equipment to be protected, e.g. filter housing, exhaust duct, deep fryer, stoves and roasting table.
